Since the arrival of the first Muslim immigrants in Canada, the face of Islam has evolved to a great extent. Integration into this society required new forms of adaptation. The cultural diversity within our umma (Muslim community) has flourished. Therefore, changes in perspective seem to be essential. 

Faced with these new demands, our non-profit association seeks to address these needs despite its modest means in taking up this challenge. Through a variety of future activities such as Muslim education (Arabic courses, Islamic studies, seminars, circles of discussion etc), activities for the youth (summer camps, sporting events, etc), social activities (mutual aid for new immigrants, moral and material support for needy people, etc) and important Islamic events such as (Ramadhan, Ashura, Hajj, etc), our association, with the assistance of The Almighty, hopes to foster dynamic participation in this crucial renewal. With this intention, the support and the collaboration of all our brothers and sisters will be more than welcome.  We also intend to add a key of originality, creativity and to complement existing Shi’a associations. Diversity within our association will be our driving force which will allow us to work in a spirit of respect, brotherly tolerance and solidarity. 

We are aware that being faced with this arduous task, we will need the approval of The Almighty. A change in our umma will not occur without an honest and sincere questioning of oneself, because « surely Allah does not change the condition of a people until they themselves change » (S13:v11).  Each Muslim/Muslimah is responsible in front of Allah (swt), their Creator. He/She will have to answer for his/her passed deeds. 

A minimum individual sacrifice is needed to guarantee the collective well-being of the next generations. We firmly believe that this action will contribute, without a doubt, to a positive evolution of the umma and of the Canadian society in general. 

In our infinite quest of The Creator, our Imams (as) taught us that it is obligatory « to free the butterfly from his chrysalis » to reach a high spiritual realization. Their teachings remain for us an inexhaustible source where the authentic believer’s heart can quench its thirst. This teaching is the prophetic path, the path of light which leads to a sincere innate metamorphosis of truth followers (Shi’a) faithful to the Imams (as), in order to achieve supreme happiness.
