Muslim Youth Council Iftar: "A Time to Connect II." Hosted By: Path of Light, SAMA Concordia, AJLM, MYM, Shiane Haidery Youth, Act Islam, The Truth editors. Held at Centre Communautaire Cote des Neiges, 6767 Cote des Neiges, Wednesday, September 17th, 2008. Approximately 120 youth attendees from across the community. The purpose was to bring together
Shia youth groups from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds to work together to gather in community youth from these different backgrounds to make closer contacts between one another and to help forge closer ties of brotherhood across cultural and nationalistic boundaries.2008 Family Camp, held at Camp Kanawana, Quebec, August
21-24, 2008. A peak attendance of approximately 150 attendees
over the course of the weekend. Sheikh Abu Zahra of the Ahlill bait
Masjid, Montreal, attended.
2008 Women's Gala, Saturday,
August 9th at Centre Communautaire de Cote des Neiges, 6767 Cote des
Neiges, Montreal. A night for women with food, fashion show, and
other entertainment.
Marriage Seminar: "The Realities of Marriage
II" at Concordia University, June 14-15 2007.
Approximately 100 attendees over the course of the weekend.
Featuring Sayyid Moustafa al-Qazwini.
Racism Seminar, March
22-23, 2008, Ahlillbait Masjid, Montreal. Featuring a number of speakers
on Islam, the many forms of racism, and Islam's opposition to
racism.
2007
2007 Women's Gala, Sunday, December 23rd, 2007.
Held at Centre de Loisirs & Culture 1335 Ch. Bord du Lac, Dorval, Que.
Featured a dinner, door prizes, fashion show, and other fun
activities. For women and girls aged 9 years and
older.
Family Eid Celebration,
in collaboration with the MYM, Sunday, October 14th, 2007.
Hosted at the Ahlil Bait Masjid, 4075 de Courtrai, Montreal. An
event planned for youth and families to bring people together from
across the community together to celebrate Eid ul Fitr festivities. Included large
and small inflatable games, carnival games for children, arts and crafts,
food, hockey skills drills, and Mad Science show. Over 400 people
attended from the community, despite some unseasonably cold
weather.

youth attendees from across the community. The purpose was
to bring together

2007 Family
Camp, with theme "Together Toward the One" at Camp Chapleau,
Quebec, on the St. Jean Baptiste Day weekend, June 22nd-25th,
2007. Approximately 180 attendees over the course of the
weekend. Sheikh Saleem Bhimjee of Kitchener attended. See here for more

University, May 5-6, 2007. Approximately 150 attendees over the
course of the weekend. Featuring Sayyid Moustafa al-Qazwini.
